Shaping an Inclusive, Sustainable, and Free Economy in Europe
Global Compact Network Netherlands and Socires invite you to the presentation of the Balkenende Report on the Future of the Market Economy in Europe for young professionals from the international and Dutch business community—an exclusive in-person event at Pakhuis de Zwijger on 17 June 2022.
The report is the result of a study led by the former Prime Minister of the Netherlands Prof. Jan Peter Balkenende and Prof. Govert Buijs, conducted in 2020-2021 by the Moral Markets program of the Vrije Universiteit, in collaboration with a number of Dutch think tanks. The report focuses on various themes, including the European community, geopolitics, Big Tech, the labor market, the importance of SMEs, corporate social responsibility, financial sector reform, and growing income and wealth inequality.
