At our current rate, it will take over 169 years to achieve gender equality in terms of women’s economic empowerment and participation. This nine-month accelerator will help you set and reach ambitious corporate targets for women’s representation, equal pay and leadership across business at all levels.

Unpack the business case for gender equality and understand the benefits of diversity and inclusion

Gain the knowledge to increase gender equality related legislation and diversity requirements

Understand your current gender equality performance through the facilitated use of the Women’s Empowerment Principles Gender Gap Analysis Tool

Confidently set ambitious and realistic targets for gender balance, women's leadership and equal pay for work of equal value

Demonstrate commitment and action for gender equality to your employees, investors and other stakeholders

Build a network of peers, UN partners and experts to support your gender equality strategy

Programme benefits

This programme equips you and your company with the latest data and research supporting the business case for gender equality, insights from UN partners and experts on how to accelerate progress on gender equality and a company action plan to put your learnings into practice.

The experience


The programme will take place virtually with select in-person gatherings. The programme is complemented by interactive e-learning tools and optional virtual regional and global engagement opportunities. Programme features include:


  • Performance Analysis and aggregate results discussions through the WEPs Gender Gap Analysis Tool
  • Five capacity building work-shops: 1) Foundations & Frameworks, 2) Performance Analysis, 3) Policies & Practices, 4) Setting Targets, 5) Tracking progress & showcasing
  • An Action Planning Guide that will support you to apply learnings within your company context.
  • Peer learning with global and national participating companies
  • Learning opportunities through the UN Global Compact Academy
  • Bonus Q&A sessions to dive deeper into key topics such as good practices around gender equality policy setting, equal pay, and reporting & accountability
